Ceremony is not improvised — it’s prepared for.
I keep my process intentionally simple, structured, and humane. You will always know what comes next, what’s expected of you, and what I’m responsible for holding.
I take on a limited number of ceremonies so each one receives the attention it deserves.
You begin by reaching out with a brief description of the moment you’re marking — a wedding, memorial, or other rite of passage.
This is not a booking form.
It’s a signal of intent.
If the timing, tone, and scope feel aligned, I’ll invite you into a conversation.
We speak directly — usually by video or phone.
This is not a sales call.
It’s a mutual assessment.
We talk about:
what matters
what you want to avoid
who will be in the room
the emotional weight of the moment
If it feels right, we move forward. If not, I’ll say so honestly.
Every ceremony is written from scratch.
Depending on the type of ceremony, this may include:
personal history
family or chosen-family dynamics
tone calibration (light, serious, restrained, celebratory)
optional readings or ritual elements
You’ll review the work with enough time to respond — not under pressure, not at the last minute.
On the day itself, my role is simple:
to hold the room steady while the moment happens.
I guide the pacing, manage transitions, and ensure the ceremony feels grounded — not rushed, not overwritten, and not awkwardly staged.
I am present, calm, and prepared.
For weddings, I handle or guide legal filing as appropriate.
For funerals and memorials, I ensure the moment closes with intention — not confusion.
The work doesn’t end the second the room exhales.
I officiate a limited number of ceremonies per month.
This is deliberate.
I work in:
New York City
New York State
New Jersey
Palm Springs & Southern California (coming soon)
Select destination ceremonies are considered by request.
I do not accept last-minute bookings unless the situation genuinely requires it.
I am not the right officiant for everyone.
I may not be the right fit if:
you want something fast and templated
you need to be reassured constantly
you want a performance instead of a ceremony
you’re looking for someone to disappear into the background entirely
I may be a good fit if:
you care about language
you want clarity without hand-holding
you need someone steady, not showy
you want the moment treated as consequential
If this process feels right, you’re welcome to inquire.
I respond personally and intentionally.
Not every inquiry becomes a booking — and that’s by design.
